New Guitar

Guitar peeps. So I am test-driving a new guitar. It's a Michael Kelly Hybrid Special. This thing is pretty crazy. They are letting me test one out for the weekend. It has a fishman pickup for the acoustic and Rockfield humbuckers for the electric. It also has a Y cable so there are separate output for acoustic and electric. It has a push pull pot for the tapping the humbuckers.
The coolest feature though is 3 way toggle.
All Humbuckers for electric output.
All Fishman pickup for Acoustic
Blended - both ouputs at once.
It's pretty sick and sounds great. These guys make great guitars!!!!!

Looks nice.........
I have never heard of this brand before. Are they pricey?
I just bought an Ibanez S470. It has a humbucker at the bridge & neck positions and a single coil in the middle.
I bought a Dimarzio Mo Joe for the bridge & a PAF Joe for the neck (these are Joe Satriani's signature pickups). I put in a 3 way toggle and left the single coil disconnected (don't really like it).
I'll post a pic later if you don't mind....

Yeah post it up Jason!! I think they are pretty reasonably priced. I know they are distributed through Guitar Center. I have a cool connection with them. The hybrid special goes for $600. The rockfield pickups are really nice and they play well too.

Very nice Wade!
Thanks Ilene!!!! :)
I love the spalted maple. It's gorgeous. It plays really nice. I am blown away at the quality of the electric tone. The Acoustic tone is great for the thin body. A good Acoustic amp or Sound Guy and it is pretty nice. It will be great for live work.

I like alot of Michael Kelly's stuff. He has a fabulous 5 string acoustic bass. If i didnt already have mine, i'd be making a purchase soon.
Its fairly priced for what it is, and has a great sound.
dont forget: you dont need a boutique guitar for a top shelf sound...
