:help: Hello,I have a 35 gal hex deep tank. I bought a 20" 28watt CORALIFE Compact Fluorescent Lamp Single Linear Strip. It came with a 50/50 light and a 10,000k light. Im not sure on wich one I should use. PLease let me know what I should use. How important is that blue light on the 50/50? I have 1 wild cought clown and 1 bta and three pieces of live rock. 5 hemit crabs. Anything else I should add? Its been 3 weeks and now my crushed coral on the bottom have like a brown dust all over it? SHould I leave it? I have a canister filter and powerhead and heater and just bought a skimmer today which i dont understand how it works but o well. Thanks for all your help. Thanks.

Well with that tank you are going to need more light to keep the BTA alive plus an anemone really should be added to a mature tank not a new tank.
I would add more live rock though and more lighting would be my 2 recomendations for your tank right now.
The brown is diatoms which will pass in time its just part of a new tank.

I also have a 35 Gal and I am waiting to puchase a anemone because of a 20 Watt Flourescent. I am waiting to buy a metal Halide light 305 W because I want the best for my tank. As mentioned above not a real big deal on the brown. When I clean my tank I vacumn the crushed coral and it disappears for a few days. You do need at least 35 pounds of LR but work it up slowly because you do not want a ammonia spike by adding to much quickly. LR helps to keep the tank clean. I have 26 pounds but thinking of getting another 10 pounds today. Check out my earlier posts and you can see how little of LR I had. This hobby is not cheap
