New guy needs help

I started my tank about two months ago. The lfs says it has cycled. It is a 46 gal bowfront, 50lbs LR, eheim 2215 filter, and crushed coral sub. After reading a bit and brousing these message boards I realize I need some more stuff. Can any one recommend a good test kit and protien skimmer. I have three Zebra Damzels in the tank now. Does anyone recommend using the Reef Packages? If so which ones?

as per test kits...most people on this site feel that salifert test products are the most accurate, however they are pricey, but nonethe less they are what I use....If you can't get them probably saltwater master is ok.
There are alot of good skimmers and alot of really bad ones. It depends on what you want to spend. I would highly recommend an ASM G series skimmer. You will never regret having spent a bit more on this skimmer.

I just ordered an ASM G 1 Skimmer and Salifert test kits. I think I am better off testing my own water rather than relying on the lfs once every couple of weeks. I am still looking into the reef packages. They all look good.

Imo I don't care for the packages. I like to pick my own inverts. if it was me I would start with a few Emerald Crabs and like 30 Turbo/Astrea Snail. And a peppermint shimp or two, jmo.
