well I hope everyones cat can be like mine, he is 16 years old and catches and kills rabbits and mice.
in addition, he still fights every night and comes home without a scratch (I can hear the fighting)

awww!!! that's sad! i dont want my kittie fighting and getting hurt/being mean! Or killing things! this is a good sign that your kittie is of good health for his/her age, but still.

I post in this thread today and what happens tonight......my cat catches a huge rat and brings it in the house, drops it, and walks away.
then my beagle starts going nuts and my office looks like it has been threw a bomb blast

That is a sign of love, he knows you are his family, and he is bringing his catch home to make you proud ,and of course to share. It all natural. My cat did the same as well.
I don't think there is anything wrong with that its what cats do in the wild. most inside/outside cats do this.
Is the cat bringing the begal presents or you? lol

be glad if the rat was hole nothing grosser than stepping outside and finding half a dead mouse that your cat decided to split with you. my westie also is a good hunter. freaked my mother out when she was visiting and the westie was sniffing around a mole burrow all of a sudden he stuck his nose in the dirt and came up with a huge mole which he killed
