I finally got my Kalk reactor. Bought a Korallin Kalkreaktor c-1502. I got the pump option. Having trouble setting it up according to instructions.
Using the pump option I am supposed to be able to drip approximately 40 drops per minute out of Outlet 1 and 2 drops per minute out of Outlet 2.
Well if I even open Outlet 2, the pump loses suction and then the pump runs dry.
So I went back to the "no pump" option of just dripping the 40 drops from outlet 1. This runs fine at first, but this morning I woke up and found that the pump lost suction again and the chamber water level is below the pump intake.
My reactor pump inlet tube is in my sump which is bewlo the reactor. So the distance of tube is less than 24 inches. The pump should not have any issue with being able to draw up the water from that distance.
If anyone has experience with setting one of these up I would appreciate any advice you may have with getting this reactor working reliably.
