Hey y'all been away a bit but back with a new build. Its a jbj cf quad 105w with 27 lbs dry rock and 5 of live rock, hydor rotating deflectors and an added hydor koralia,30 lbs live sand(20 white 10 sam.pink) and a reef octopus ns-80 protein skimmer. Of course my two original ocellaris clowns from my ten, along with some blue legged hermits from that tank and turbo snails. Parameters are good and tanks crystal. Had a diatom outbreak but it's cleaning up now. Anyway, glad to be back!

Hi,
Sorry to have to be the one to give you the bad news, but Bubble tip anemones can't be "placed", they move where they want to go. Sometimes that is behind the rock work...moving later often happens, so it isn't like they will stay put either.
They also follow the water flow, and get sucked up into the intake of your tank. All the power heads need to be covered
or they commit sushi. They pollute the tank as they die if that happens.
I have always read that they need the really intense lighting, such as Metal halides or the new LED fixtures. The bio-cube lights are no where near strong enough if that's the case....I did do a quick search for more info on bio-cubes and anemones, and a few folks say they have kept them under those lights...

I know flower lol placing as in placing it in my aquarium, I had one in my ten that did well that I rehomed when I started my new tank, it did well under less intense lighting in my ten, clowns even hosted it quickly. I know they move to where they want, hence placing it before corals ;)

Hands down keeping anemones are my greatest disappointment. I felt so bad when I got rid of my beautiful fish eater/killer. They are so beautiful in a tank, but so not worth it for me. I know when a clown decides to be it's friend, it will keep all the other critters away from it. So if your clowns do that, your other fish in there should be pretty safe.

Looking pretty good...Do you have a power head in there? It looks a little cloudy, running some carbon and increasing the O2 might help that. My tank was cloudy due to the O2 dropping after I used nail polish remover in my small room. Bacterial blooms also cause cloudy water, and macroalgae going sexual. Could any of those be the reason?

It has carbon I posted earlier it was cloudy due to things getting stirred up from a water change I had done a few minutes prior :) it has dual rotating water deflectors on an alternating timer :)

I'm glad all is well. The tank is indeed coming along nicely. Good job
