I am wondering do i leave the glass ontop of the aquarium or take it off? What do you think?

I leave mine on..but I have alot of *jumpers....I know they say it is best to leave it off..but ON works for me.

Take them off. They hold in heat. Replace with egg crate. Keeps the jumpers in and lets the heat out.

Not only do you not want the glass on for heat issues, it will also cause issues with the gas exchange, which can affect things like your pH. I have egg-crate on the top of all of my tanks and will only ever use this stuff to keep in the jumpers.

I'm kind of in the same predicament. I switched to MH. Should I take the glass tops off? Sorry if I hijacked this.

i leave the top off on mine. more light gets into the water and heat can easily escape. the only drawback is maybe jumping fish and evaporation.

You should definitely take the glass off if you are running MH. The heat buildup will be insane!
