New light

I have new lighting coming today and I'm wondering if I should set the lights up and start using them even though there's nothing in my tank that requires the high amount of light. Should I just put them away till I'm ready for corals or is there some benefit to my tank to start using them. Right now I have coralife 48" 52 watt T-5, and I'm getting Compact USA 350 watt T-5's today. My tank is 55 gallons, 48X18

yeap go fot it just watch the corals for signs of stress they will tell you if you need to acclimate them to the new light but since your t-5 to t-5 I think youll be alright.

if you have LR then the sooner you get them on the sooner the coraline will get going and there are possible coral hitchikers on and in the rock so yeah plus I always hate looking at a dark tank LOL

Coralline is the pink purpley stuff on your rocks, but youll notice it if its getting bigger by actually seeing the spot getting larger and it spreading to other rocks
