New Lights for 4' Reef Tank

Hi guys,
Probably saw my gonipora dying post, sniff sniff, very tragic but move on I must...
I currently have 2 4' Marine Glo lights which fit nicely into my aquarium hood but it has been brought to my attention that these are now pants for inverts and I need new ones! what lights do i need? I am a student so money is a small factor and I live in England so im not sure if prices vary much but am prepared to ship from you guys in the states if necessary. My tank is 4" curved (260l), what lights would be good?

check out the T5 bulbs you can get in the UK. Looks like lots of bang for the buck

Can any of you tell me what I need? How bright and is it just the bulb I need or a kit? Does it have to be T5? Is there a cheaper alternative?

another thought is how will bright lights contribute to my algae? At the moment my lights are on 5 hours a day and i get a tad of algae which i have to clean every 3 days or so, if i get this really good lights wouldnt i get loads of algae? Hope im wrong!
