New lights too blue

I have put an oddysea 192 w pc on my 46 bow front (it's shortcomings are obvious after only 2 days) My question is the fixture has 2 96 w bulbs, 1 actinic, and 1 12,000 k. When both bulbs are running the light is very blue, to the point of making the sand look pale blue.
Anyone using this fixtures have the same problem? Shoud I replace the actinic bulb with a 50/50? this fixture is only temporary as I will hopefully be upgrading to halide within the next year.
Thanks

Well , I don`t have the same brand . But I just bought a Coralife 260 watt with 2 Actinic 03 and 2 10,000k and can turn each on and off individually. With just the Actinic bulbs it purple , but with both it is amazingly bright . I have heard the stock bulbs in th Oddysea fixtures are junk . So I would get some good name bulbs to replace them . I did a lot of research before purchasing a new light [almost bought the Oddysea] but found from many Oddysea buyers it`s worth buying a good light . Not sure what you paid for it but I was gonna buy one and by the time buying four quality bulbs it was almost as much as the light I ended up buying .

You could just change the 12k bulb to 10k and see how you like that.
That should whiten/yellow it up some.

yup that would fix ur problem..the higher the kelvin rating the more blue the light is..for example a 10k bulb will appear whitish..and the higher up u go the more blue will be visable..so sawp out ur 12k bulb to a 10k one

I ran oddysea pc set up 4x65 watt 2x10k & 2x actinic a long time ago, fist off I would like to say it was a waste of money & please do jump in a say how great yours is I hated mine. I did however switch out the actinic's for some hamilton actinic's & it compleatly changed the lighting (for the better) less blue looking. I found the oddysea actinic's to be really blue I dont think they are a true actinic. Can you turn off the actinic's? If so how is the blue for you with them off? If its ok then maybe a 50/50 or a true actinic would work for you.
BTW you get what you pay for!
