New LIVE SAND on- the Way - HELP

Taking the advice of most on here - I have ordered 40 Lbs of LS for my 55 Gal Tank - Replacing the existing CC
1- I have one fish ( Red Spotted Hawk )
2 - Do I wash the sand ? Rinse it ? Or what ?
As I understand it - I have two choices to put the sand in the tank -
a - Make a holding tank using the existing water and a heater for my fish
Remove the CC - Put the sand in and let the Chemical Levels even out after a day - then put the fish back
OR
B - Leave the Fish in the tank and Remove the CC using a pump - then insert the LS into the tank using a clean PVC Pipe - Monitor levels etc..
WHAT is best ?? OR is there a better way ?
Any Help is GREATLY APPRIECATED -
Thanks
MSG M.

You might want to rinse it, I wouldnt worry about it too much since your buying it new.
Then i would go with A.

Don't rinse the sand IMO.
I would definately put all fish in a Q-Tank before removing the CC. It will most likely start a small cycle so have water ready for a very large water change.

If it is Live Sand no need to wash it you would wash all the Live out of it. I would do what Bang Guy said and leave the fish in QT.
