I added my 65lb of new LR to my system. So here is a pic taken back in november of my tank. shortly after it was setup. The second pic was from tonight after the new rock went in and everything settled down.

Looks nice!! Please tell me you cured that LR in a seperate container before you added it to the tank? Unless you got fully cured LR locally, which should still be cured in case of any die off.

MUCH better!! Although it wasn't exactly bad before...

How big IS that thing? That hippo looks like a little speck in that big ol tank!

Love the red wood...very classy.

its a 125. The hippo is still small. Only about 3 1/2 inches. The origonal rock is premium fiji from this board. The new stuff is a combo of tonga branch and something else (not sure). From another member here that was selling everything off. The other very white rock in the first pic is dry base but now is totally covered in growth so it looks live.
As for curing. It was precured but also spent a few days in tubs being tested before being placed in the tank.

Very nice and big difference. Plenty of hidy spaces now for the critters. Ha! Thanks fr sharing
