New LR is this good or bad?

I just got some new LR from my local LFS yesterday, 43 lbs from fiji. The rock is a bit different than the last stuff I got there. It has areas that appear to be bluish purple? it is not like th epurple in my nano that results from the cleaner crew. I have posted a pic to try to see if anyone can tell me if its good or bad. I know its not the best quality but the best I can do. Also in the last pic, my 12g nano (which seems perectly happy) has this little polyp? in it that sucks back into the whole? Is it a feather duster? Its very very hard to see but is right in the middle of the photo at the top of the rock.
Thanks for all your help!

Rocks look goos.
Adding that much lr watch your water levels for a cycle thouogh. If amm. goes up you will need to do water changes.
Last pic looks like feather duster.

if the live rocks were cured at the lfs, and the time the rock is out of the water is less than 2-3 hours, u can just add them to ur tank. die-off will be minimal.

Kelley,
In your other post you say you have just gotten the live rock and there are no fish in the tank. The tank hasn't cycled then I can assume? If not, don't worry about it you can let it cycle...maybe it will turn into something kewl. You don't want to add your fish until you've cycled anyhow.
