Sweeeet!
Do tell, what are you shooting with? What lighting? What distance? What are the setting? I've got the Canon Rebel XTI, 8 Meg. I recently got the Sigma 70-300 telephoto macro. I can get some decent shots now.

You guys are killing me
it was on manual focus. Do you think a ring flash will make a difference, I just can't seem to get a clear shot. When I go manual and open the f stop to 22 the pic is to dark. Any help is appreciated.

i got my nikon
if u raise up ur iso to about 600 to 800 u should be geting clear shots and also if u have a macro lens u dont have to be in macro mosde for it to work set it on program mode and you will do just fine...
Oo and u should set it to autofocus and try that and compare it sometimes since its too little light it will say ur focused right when manually focusing only to find that the picture taken isnt clear
srry im a photographer myself lol ..im just trying to get u the best out of ur lens good luck and hope everyone has or had a merry christmas!

I don't know if I can be of much help - I'm just hijacking for the moment - I'm looking to get a great camera in the near future - to go on vacation with and to take pics of my tank. I was wondering what everyone thought a good camera was?

OK, I followed Silencio's advice and changed the ISO to 800 I used manual focus and an F stop of 9. This is the result!!!

Snake I am using a Canon Rebel XSI with a Canon macro lens.

I also got the Canon Rebel XSi (12) for Christmas! I sit in my comfortable chair in front of the reef tank to read the manuals and keep falling asleep!
