A few more, this is a green napthia, I'm lovin the composition of these types of shots...

These are directly under the MH's and the intense lighting reeks havoc with camera sensors, gota get that D300

This is a good one
....It's taken me almost a year to finally capture an image where all the polyps are in focus and the color is dead on.

I am curious as to how you seem to have a very dark back ground in each picture? Looks like you have a spotlight on just the subject matter in the picture. Sure makes for fantastic looking pictures!

My thread https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/t/338114/nikon-camera-settings-and-detailed-user-guide "Nikon Camera Settings and Detailed User Guide" shows in great detail exactly how I stage my shots along with how I position the corals and my camera settings so that you can go from image #1 below to image #2 below by simply adjusting where in the tank you place the coral for the shot, without using any editing programs.
I'm still in the process of finishing all the photos for the above thread that show all the little tricks I use to capture my images, it's VERY PHOTO INTENSIVE DIALUP BEWARE....I should complete the rest of the series later today.
Also shows the green palys above and the area of my tank where it was taken, it's not what people are expecting
Before, not really a good image

After, same ric, just repositioned in my tank for the best lighting and camera settings, no photo editing

This proves that there is more to taking good pictures than a nice camera. . . You MUST know how to use it.

Thanks guys

Kinda blows that I sold off my collection of rare stuff when I was going to tear everything down and get out of the hobby....

I had some crappy sony PAS that accidentally fell in a tank, not sure how it happened

It was a tragic loss

In the third image, what is the red stringy stuff? I have some in my tank and have no idea what it is and if it is good or bad.
