she wasn't using one because she got PREGNANT! ALL contraceptives are 95 to 99% safe. the wife and i use condoms and never had an issue. ( B.C. makes her ill) the few times we didn't resulted in our 5 yr old son. so its is highly mathmatically probable that she DIDN'T use any birth control. IMO the Palin's probably believe birth control is a sin also. nothing wrong with that way of thinking IMO but i think it's a REAL possibility. she advocated ABSTINENCE over protection in her polotical life. that believe is almost always religious. even YOU know that!
95-99% effective means 1-5% of the time it fails. So 1 out of every 20 times the 95% effective contraceptive fails. Considering how I felt at that age. I don't think it is unreasonable to see a failure. It it was once, it is unlikely, but over the course of a period of time. It is likely they'd experience a failure.
I am a strong proponent of abstinence, the only time it didn't work was jokingly eluded to earlier in the thread. Seriously I've been to a lot of churches, listened to probably hundreds of "services" discussing this topic. And besides the catholic church, I can't think of a single one who claimed contraception/particularly mechanical was a sin. You're letting your prejudice cloud your judgement.
This whole debate used to "prove" the flaw of abstenence is based on the "ignorance" of the kid. Then the strong assumption that contraception was not used. And you simply can't assume that.
The second flaw is that contraception is full prove this could have and has happened using the "informed" approach. The simple fact is this, if you are going to
you run the risk no matter what you use of a little crumb cruncher. If you don't (abstain) you don't have to worry about some little crumb cruncher.
