New mccain ad

Four years ago McCain got Carl Roved, and it is a pity that Mc is now Roveing others. What's wrong with the ad is that it is a total misrepresentation of the truth - even Romney supported the bill since it deals with avoiding predators, and then is directed only at children above the 5th grade. Shame on McCain!

maybe I'm a little confused, because when I read a bill, and it says teach --- education from k-12 including std prevention. How does that not mean supporting ---- education to kindergardeners? It is a bit salacious with some political puffery in language, but it isn't factually inaccurate.

Its just as accurate as McSame, 4 more years of Bush or McCain wants to keep the war in Iraq going for another 100 years. And the bill was to teach "age appropriate" s ed to kindergartners. Kinda leaves a lot to interpretation.

Maybe if Bristol Palin had got a little more informed on the subject at an early age she wouldn't be in the predicament she's in.
I think kids NEED to be better informed - they are having --- a lot earlier than even when I was in school and what they don't know CAN hurt them.

Come on, we only need to teach our kids about abstinence and Jesus and they will be set for life

There is two major things that bothers me about this argument.
1. You don't know she wasn't using a contraceptive.
2. She doesn't know how to use one.
Seriously come on. Lets take me for example. I went to a private school that did not teach --- education. My dad decided to talk to me about the birds and the bees when I was 19.
I never was taught by the government at ANY point of my life the pillars (used jokingly of course) of --- ed. And I, at 17, knew how to "protect myself." If the need arose...
This silly notion that this girl was stupid and had never heard of contraception is rediculous, and a bit aburd.
And it isn't a stretch to think that the stuff failed either.

she wasn't using one because she got PREGNANT! ALL contraceptives are 95 to 99% safe. the wife and i use condoms and never had an issue. ( B.C. makes her ill) the few times we didn't resulted in our 5 yr old son. so its is highly mathmatically probable that she DIDN'T use any birth control. IMO the Palin's probably believe birth control is a sin also. nothing wrong with that way of thinking IMO but i think it's a REAL possibility. she advocated ABSTINENCE over protection in her polotical life. that believe is almost always religious. even YOU know that!

95-99% effective means 1-5% of the time it fails. So 1 out of every 20 times the 95% effective contraceptive fails. Considering how I felt at that age. I don't think it is unreasonable to see a failure. It it was once, it is unlikely, but over the course of a period of time. It is likely they'd experience a failure.
I am a strong proponent of abstinence, the only time it didn't work was jokingly eluded to earlier in the thread. Seriously I've been to a lot of churches, listened to probably hundreds of "services" discussing this topic. And besides the catholic church, I can't think of a single one who claimed contraception/particularly mechanical was a sin. You're letting your prejudice cloud your judgement.
This whole debate used to "prove" the flaw of abstenence is based on the "ignorance" of the kid. Then the strong assumption that contraception was not used. And you simply can't assume that.
The second flaw is that contraception is full prove this could have and has happened using the "informed" approach. The simple fact is this, if you are going to
you run the risk no matter what you use of a little crumb cruncher. If you don't (abstain) you don't have to worry about some little crumb cruncher.

she supports teaching contraception in schools....as well as abstinance. not one over the other...look it up.
I love since she supports abstinance how many assume she is against contraception.

Actually from the last I knew condoms were somewhere in the 80% affective range.
Edit: According to some of the comments posted on that link, the bill wasn't mean to teach kindergarteners about s e x but about how to be safe from strangers/ s e xual predators. Don't know if that's the truth or not. Not defending Obama though.

You libs seem to forget about Clintons war rooms from the 90's. As far as Palins kid just keep talking and attacking her. Nice to let people see the true nature of a lot of Obama's backers

If they are used correctly they are about 97% effective and those who don't know how to use them properly shouldn't be allowed to pollute the gene pool

No matter how careful you are, you still run the risk of getting pregnant. My mom has a patient whose husband had had a vasectomy and she was on birth control and she STILL got pregnant.

Why was she on birth control if he had a vasectomy...if I was him I'd want a paternity test
