Well the MH bulb I have grows dim and I have decided to go with the 10k bulb instead of the 6.5k bulb that was in it previous. My question is do I need to adjust the amount of hours the bulb is on? As of right now there are no corals (soon to be again hopefully), just live rock and two anemones along with the fish.

You did say how long yours are on, so, I keep mine on for a total of 8 hours. My atinics for 12.

actually what I was trying to find out is do I need to change the amount of time less or more than what I currently run the MH because of the different frequency of the bulb.

no need to adjust the time the bulb is on due to it's color temp. Leave a 10k on for the same amount of time you have the 6500k on.
