Alright the time has finally come no more putting it off lol i am actually setting up my tank this week, but i have been thinking about it and i have a 100$ budget for my tank itself and light currently and i was thinking possibly just getting a 20g instead of the ten gallon i have and upgrading the light a bit later when i get corals. Just kinda curious what you guys think. Also within the next month i am getting 200$ more so i was going to upgrade my light to a current nova extreme 4x24w t5. (i also have live rock and all that but it is just chilling in a holding tank)

nope i just have the 10g right now which is why i was thinking i am probly going to want more than one fish so i am kinda leaning towards getting the 20g and upgrading the lights later

Just a caution here. $100 is not going to get you very far after purchasing a tank. Gotta think about test kits, filters, water, refracomter, saltmix etc. etc.

sounds fine to me. you will need a koralia 1 for flow. a nice aquaclear 110 for flow modded into a fuge
and what Henry stated above ^^

Yeah i already have all of those except the koralia. I am using a red sea skimmer and a maxijet pump. Part of it is i used to have a 40g saltwater tank so i have quite a bit of the stuff just sitting around.

Alright so far i have 10g aquarium, aquaclear 70 filter(also i have a perfect little 7w pc light that goes over this), red sea skimmer (rated for tanks up to 55g), two maxijet pumps, a 20w pc light strip, glass top for the 10g, heater, stand, live rock and sand sitting in my spare 10g (other 10g is kinda scratched up which is why i am going to be getting rid of it) so far i have about 15 lbs of live sand and 12 lbs of live rock. Also have a bunch of salt enough to make about 150g of saltwater and a Refractometer. So here was my plan buy a 20g make the 10g a sump/fuge. Then wait and get the nova extremes when i can free up a bit more cashola lol. Plus i already have someone who promised to buy me a clownfish after it is all set up
