I just got a couple colonies of palythoa grandis. I've been waiting for some of these for a while then I got two polyps, now two colonies.
anyone want to guess how much they cost (I actually paid money for them) shocker I know.

I wonder if a new area for harvesting corals opened? there seems to be a sudden availability of them. which is unusual at best.

are they actual grandis or are they another type of protopalythoa? because the other common protopalythoas go for far less.

Just picked some up myself. They are a little more white with the brown center. Supposed to be "rare" but who knows. Those monsters got really responsive after the second day.

if they have the "Spilt milk" look, then chances are they are grandis. if they have solid radiating lines they are probably Protopalythoa vestitus which has a distinctive pattern of stripes. there is a rare form of grandis (its considered rare) that has the stripes (like mine, that also has the "spilt milk" look). confusing isnt it.
