new peppermints are acting strange

Sunday I purchased a Diamond Goby and 2 Peppermint Shrimp, one of the shrimp is pregnant, (you can see the eggs) cool! Anyway, the only fish I had in the tank was the damsel I posted pictures of earlier. He would not leave them alone, the Goby didnt care much but the shrimp wouldnt move from a corner of the tank. I took the Damsel back for credit. And left the shrimp alone for a day. They still wouldn't move, so yesterday I forced them gently with a net to the rocks. . .24 hours havent seen them. It's so unlike them to act like this! Does anyone have any suggestions? :help:
Thanks

Hiya,
I agree. I bought a peppermint shrimp Saturday and the only time I've seen it is at night with a flashlight. I've heard they'll settle down and wonder around while the lights on.

peppermints are iffy... some love the light others think its evil lol. I would guess its just acclimating. Acclimation does not end when the fish is first put into the tank. It takes several days sometimes weeks for the critter to fully acclimate.

Thanks, I suppose I'm forgetting everone has thier own personality. I was hoping these two would act like the two I have in my other tank. They are everywhere all the time!
Patience . . .
