Yes it is just sand technically I think it is actually would be classified as silt since it is so fine.

Which coral are you refering to? The first pic looks very similar to these corals but the second to last photo with the red polyps doesn't look all that close. A few months ago I was given a coral that I believe was the same as this one but much larger and if it was any indicator as to how they grow they seem to grow in a column shape and the polyps were similar in size that one was about 8" tall with and polyps were about the same size maybe slightly larger.

I have seen these and the polyps (insides of these are actually green not white) next to the palys in the 3rd from last pic listed as green star polyps.

SWF actually has pics of both types listed as GSP not sure which one you will get if you order it though I think the ones in the last pic are actually Green starbust polyps but I'm not sure this coral ID game is pretty confusing at times. SWF's GSP
