i decided to go bare bottom. i'm adding 2 wave 2k in about 2 weeks. each doing 4000g per hour. along with the tunzee at 2200 and 1000g return pump. i'll have a total of 11,000gph. turnover on a 110 gallon tank is 100X's an hour. i want sand but not a sand storm.
i also need to learn to take better pictures to expose for coral color better. every pic is dark.

How is your bubble doing with that much flow?
Mine seems to be pulled back after adding about 1300gph to a 55 gallon.... Although I just changed over to the new pump on Friday?

i think im goin bare bottom too if i ever start my reef tank . im just sick of hearing the ups and downs of both ls and cc. u have coraline on the bottom yet? my lfs has coraline all over sides and bottoms of there reef tanks, and i think it looks great.

i have not added the wave makers yet. if the bubble does not adjust to the new flow i'll be trading in for store credit.
no coraline as of yet. i try to remove all coraline off the glass. i prefer to keep it clean
