Put this together Friday. Put down Egg crate then rock then sand and refilled with water.
also added 3 shrimp

Looks good so far, but why the eggcrate.........just curious, mine is the same.

Helps to stabilize the rock and if it was to fall the egg crate would absorb the shock. Read this in one of the many books I read this fall.

I see...I added eggcrate so that under rock I can clean debris with turkey baster. Almost 1 yr and no probs.

Tank looks nice... what size it??? Your probally going to need more flow then just those 2 power heads
