New Plate coral

I picked up a green long tentacle plate today at the lfs. He seems to be doing well. I'm curious if they are known to host clowns? I've got a mated pair of saddlebacks that dont seem too interested, so I'm curious of others experiences with this lps.

I had a plate that would host my percula clowns. Wait a bit and you clowns may take to it. Now that my plate is dead, one took to the hair algae that is growing. Again, not all clowns need a host.

Hope yours does as well as mine has....been in my system for a long time now and has nearly doubled in size. My tomato clown has never shown any interest at all...don't know that I'd want him to either!! Mine likes to be direct fed now and then and seems to like a moderate current ... outstanding coral in my opinion....

I noticed the male clown was "testing the water" last night and I think he might have got a bit of a sting the way he swam off. I've had these clowns for a little over a year and thay dont seem to like anything in the tank(various polyps, shrooms, leathers and now the plate.) Oh well, I just wanted to see them snuggling in the tentacles. Thats one of the coolest things I remember seeing when I first got into the hobby. We'll see, maybe they will eventually.
