New Product?

my lfs has this filter. i think it's wet dry. with a protein skimmer built in. it's fed by an overflow skimmer and sits under your aquarium. it's by tom aquarium products rapid pro filter. has anyone had any experience with this one or know someone who has? it's $400 + and i'd like input before i spend the cash

hey, i have this filter running on my 120 now and its alright. it filters great and the protein skimmer pulls out "some" gunk, i only spent 300 on mine but you can find them all over the web for alot cheaper than that, i seen one with the auto top off for 199.99. but if your planning on spending that much i would just get a sump and overflow box, i wish i bought that instead of this

. as i said the protein skimmer isn't that good but there customer service is great i broke a couple of pieces on it when cleaning(cheapley made) and they pretty much sent me a whole new filter for FREE

my lfs has the exact same thing for the same money, i say dont get it....
by another small tank i have a 55g DT and bought a 20g long tank, had Ace cut a few pieces of glass for me to use a baffles buy some silicon and glue them in there(research how to make a sump), total cost so far $24 buy and over flow and return pump from online some where any where between 50 to 125 depending on what want, for the two.
buy a good skimmer.
thats a whole lot less than that 400 and i think you will be much happier..
