New Puffer

as some ( I think Lionstorm knows) I keep several different puffers including
stars and strips
dogface
porkypine puffer.
well I spent more than I ever thought I would on a single FISH LOL anyway it was called a starry puffer. jet black white perfectly round white dots all over it boody head to tail and fin to fin. he is absolutely gorgeous and huge to boot he is right at 10 inches in lenght andbigger around than my arm. I will have to get some pictures of this guy this weekend and post them. but he was 99.00$ on sale
he is eating and having a grand time in my 50 gallon tank at the moment until I get my tanks situated around for him a 100 gallon tank. he is currently in with all my other puffers. ( dont worry me plans an extra large tank of 500 or more gallons in the near future and I cant wait )
I will post some good pics this weekend if I can if not I will post some crappy ones till I can get some good shots of him.

Cool, I like puffers, I only a one, a porky, but he's so much fun to watch. Can't wait to the pics of the new one

Sounds like a blue phase Arothron meleagris, or the Gueniea Fowl puffer. Bo

Thats him I couldnt get a picture today he is very shy.
my poor little porky got his eye stuck in my pump so I have him in QT I cought him just as it happened or he would have been dead. this poor little fish has been through hell and back. a few months ago he was severly beatin up by a huma huma trigger (bad idea to mixwhen I relized it it was to late) he took several months to recoop from that and now this. poor little guy.

sorry to here about your puffers run in with the pump glad to know hes getting better hopefully and you saved him.
Also $99 isn't too bad for a fish, I know some angelfish which cost alot more and are a LOT more fragile. Gotta love puffers, congrats Mike

you keep 4 puffers in a 60? how come they dont fight?

when I got the 3 they were all little bitty guys and have grown up together so they do weel together and the new one just has a great personality. the main thing that I have to do is keep them all well feed if they arent feed regularly the start to get a bit testy but nothing that is super aggressive towards each other.
I have another 100 gallon tank for them that is just finishing its cycle so they will be in a much bigger hom soon. and what they are in is a 50 gallon tank not a 60. the 3 are small I guess around 3-4 maybe 5 inches in lenght so its not super crowded or anything in the tank .
