Here is the RO unit
Its a 6 stage ro+di system, 100 gpd dual output with tank and faucet.

You shouldnt be getting shocked! Thats a BIG issue as the unit uses no electric! Is it just static electricity maybe? The only thing I would reccomend if you dont have already is the clear filter canisters so you can see when they need to be changed. (You can also just go by a TDS meter but I like to see the crud too!)
Also if you dont use it very much the first gallon or so wont be as pure as the rest, a little bit more TDS.

I know this is kind of an old post, but the same thing happened to me last night so I decided to do a little research.
This is very simple and nothing to worry about, but the reason you were shocked was static.
Water like every thing else has positive and negatives ions, when water drips and drips and drips as you are filling a large bin with water, it disturbs the ions causing a static charge.
You can prevent this a couple of ways.
1. eliminate the drip, by placing the tube driping water at the bottom of the container
or
2. use a rubber glove when you put your hand in the water.
I am sure there are many other ways, but these are the first that came to mind for me.
