Hi Everyone. I just purchased a Coralife Pure flo RO unit. I hooked it up on my laundry room wall, the where the cold water hookup for the washer is, I put a Y and then connected the washer back as well as the RO unit.. My question is, Do I put the full pressure of the water into the RO Unit, or do I just run it on slightly? I could not find a operating pressure for this unit.
Thanks!

Yes, I install inground irrigation systems, and the pressure from the city is 60 PSI, I tested it before. Also, anyone who is maybe a little scared at installing on of these units, dont be. I was always hesitant.. I just didnt want to do it really. Well I hooked it up behind my washing machine via a WYE, and the garage is directly behind the washing room. I put the good water tube through the wall, which goes into the garage, into a new trashcan which I installed a garden spigot to the bottom of, and that is raised on a wood platform approx 2' off the ground. Now all I do is put a 5 gallon bucket under it and BOOM! :)

Does your unit have a ASOV? If not I would buy 1 and install it on the RO unit, and drill the water vat to mount a float valve to shut the RO unit down when the can is full. Without the ASOV the float valve isn't relieving pressure an could create issues at some point.

I just put in a 40 gall. Trashcan which the RO goes into.. then there is a gate valve at the bottom of the trash can (which is 3' off the ground) which I open to fill the bucket... so there wont be overflow (unless i dont turn off the RO unit and the trashcan overflows)

Do yourself a favor an install a ASOV and a float valve....at some point even the best of us get distracted and you'll overflow the water vat. At least this way the float valve will shut the RO/DI will get shut down.
