Yaaaaaaaaaaay!!! I picked up a kuda friend for Valiant today! The poor the little guy/girl :notsure: was all alone in the seahorse tank. When I got the new horse home and started acclimating it....Valiant's excitment went out the roof!! He came over and fluttered all around the bag...the new comer followed Valiant every where..trying to find a way out! I wish I had a camcorder...after greeting the new horse he proceeded to dance around in the bubles of the water flow....doing all sorts of flips and wiggles :happyfish
After realeasing the new horse into the tank...it floated to the bottom and looked around in bewilderment(at least that's what would call it) Then Valiant swam over and lead the new horse over to a rock where both of them started hunting pods together!!!
Here's some pics....not sure if the new one if male or female :notsure:

Thanks! :happyfish
They're so cute....they went to sleep curled up together on the corky finger.
The new one is a quick study too; h/s watched in hesitation for about a minute before joining in on dinner! YUMMY mysis....
I got the vibrance enhancer today too....doesn't look very fancy for the price...it's basically just a multi vitamin
I also bought some rumble LR to start fragging my corky finger. I got it about 3 mths ago it has grow about 2 inches and has 3 new buds....there is only about 4-5 inches until it reaches the top of the tank!

Me...noooooooooooo. I am the black sheep of the family Salt Water forum here. I go by my book of experience, however, I am always willing to listen and try new ideas; I also would not recommend my tactics to any newbie in salt water.
I have never used RO water....I use tap....hmmm oh yeah~ I don't acclimate either....I tossed the acclimation theory out the window after I dumped my Daisy and Flower Pot gonipora straight into my reef tank after a 10 minute float in the tank to equalize the temps. They double in size in 8 months! And then there's my last daring escapade with the molly acclimation...

i gotta say... i'm lovin the fact that you name your fish/sea horses, and call them by name when talking about them. it makes them seem more of a family member.
and beautiful sea horse, looks great, hope you like him/her.

I thought everyone named their pets...
Rykna,
Best of luck with your new pony. Hope he takes very nicely to your tank and to his new tankmate.
Take a look at the cool video I found...in this forum, named Seahorse Keepers
It's about seahorse name Sweet pea, and her introduction into her new home...very cute.

Thanks! Valiant and his new friend are definately enjoying each other's company. Their favorite activity is play in the bubbles from the fillter return flow.

Me too!!! Sweet Pea, that's so cute!!! I am thinking of naming the new horse Eve. I'm not 100% sure, but it sure looks like a girl when compared to Valiant. :happyfish

Maybe I should put up privacy blinds!!!
They made quite a spectical of themselves this morning while greeting each other. Valiant also did something today I have never seen before....he ejected two small grey balls that looked like a BB gun pellet~I assume he was ejecting old eggs??? :notsure: Any idea what it was?
