:scared: Cool, but I don't know what it's about!

I agree. If the horse eats too much too quickly, it may be that he is passing undigested food.
He's a bit young to be carrying around old eggs, I think. I haven't heard of males having unexpelled eggs without big problems to go with them. And he would have had to have mated to have eggs at all.

Thanks. The twins are hanging out and hunting pods. Valiant is definately a ham for the camera, but not his shy friend. I have over 20 pics of her(?) in the ten 10 gallon still could quite get a clear pic!!! Valiant on the other hand was parading up and down the tank doing flashy swirls and tail curling!!!

I'm confused..are they in the divided 90 or a 10 gallon?
I have to admit I scroll up and down looking at the two. I would guess they are very young and not a snap to --- at that size.
At the length you have estimated (I know it's hard to catch them uncurled with your tape measure in hand!) they are probably about 6 months old. Barely sexually mature.
On the male you will see a definite "smooth" area, around his ventral fin.
The first photo is a male, obviously proven. His pouch is quite apparent.
The second is a female. No pouch, or apron. The spines are consistent on the belly.
The unproven male will have a very small smooth area, having not been stretched by a brood.
It is hard to tell without seeing the little beauties!
I do miss my girls.

Sorry, I should have said the yellow reidii are not my seahorses.
Mine were dark, like yours.
Fin (diesel) was the little one on the left and Sophia (loren) on the right. Two females.

That's okay.
Now I have a pic of what healthy, happy, Kudas look like!
Thanks Ponie,

I have never used RO water....I use tap....hmmm oh yeah~ I don't acclimate either....I tossed the acclimation theory out the window after I dumped my Daisy and Flower Pot gonipora straight into my reef tank after a 10 minute float in the tank to equalize the temps. They double in size in 8 months! And then there's my last daring escapade with the molly acclimation...
:happyfish

Corals are commonly not acclimated, frequently without issue. The same is true for fish...certainly mollies are nothing BUT hardy. But this can be exceedingly bad for other invertebrates, and depending on the water parameters, other animals too. I agree, it may work for you, but it may be catastrophic for others.
Definitely a cute pair though

Thank you Ophira, I really apreciate your honesty and willingness to share information about your own experiences, and still respect the opinions of others. :happyfish

Jessica, a word of warning....I have 22 years of fish keeping experince(with using both tap water and well water) under my belt. 2 of those with salt. Please read this thread before you commit yourself to tap water. Using tap water comes with ALOT
lots of variations that can be fatal to you tank. You have to be experienced in the are of being able to recognize instantly when there is a sign of a problem or change of activity in you tank!
Check out this thread and heed the warnings of the responses, especially Ophira.
https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/t/233235/am-i-nuts
Tap water contents also means that you will have to do a lot more maintence water changes and such until you tanked has matured. It took my 90 gallon reef tank 8 months before I could stop cleaning and maintaning the water levels every 2 weeks.
If this is your first salt water tank...PLEASE DO NOT USE TAP WATER!!!!
Please, I would like to know more about you fish exp.
Thank you,
Rykna

Uh oh... They both look like males. So much for baby ponies.
("Not that there's anything wrong with that...")

I guess Eve is out. How about we name him Destroyer! That's a cool, manly horse name.

Well i ahve used tap water on my new tank. So it's too late for that now. Also what I plan to do is during cycling I will do water changes with RO/DI water.

That's what I'm gonna call him: "Steve The Destroyer!"

That is, if he doesn't get sucked up by the filter...
That would be a terrible fate for "Steve the Destroyer!!!"
