I didn't mean placing the pump in the tank, just drawing water from the tank. They sell perforated tubing, use that for a screen on the "suction tube". I would then build some type of platform to suspend the pump alittle closer to top to reduce head pressure and the amount of work the pump has to do for suction. Then attach the OM to the pump and go from there.
Get it?
Let me know if we are totally missing each others points.

i think i got everything together just need to place it together before asembeling it , thank you for all the help, Dwight

You find the SeaSwirls at any large saltwater retailer online...just do a yahoo search for them.
As for the litermeter, it is for dosing kalk or limewater via a reactor for topoff (evaporation). It draws water from a 55G reservoir that is always full of RO water, and sends it to the reactor that keeps the kalkwasser mixed and the pressure of adding water to the reactor sends the water right back into the sump. This happens about 150 times/day to make up for approximately 4 gallons of evaporation.

Some new pictures...still working on stuff. Building my own Calcium Reactor. Adding another beckett head to my skimmer.
And starting a 40g Frag (SPS/Clam) tank. So much space now, that needs to be filled. Slowly adding! Don't want to push my levels, and I want my CR running before I start bringing the SPS.
Latest Additions:
Blue Linkia
Sohal Tang
Pink Square Anthias
Sand-Sifting Seastar
Clown Goby, which resides in my fug; till he's strong and big enough for the reef life.

The progress looks great!
A few questions though regarding your skimmer:
It's hard to tell, but it appears that you raised the Beckett injector up to the level of the collection cup. Did you notice any benefit from that?
Is that the PCX-55 fueling your skimmer? If so, what do you think of it?

Awesome system! Going to be mostly SPS? It seems that way with that much flow. You may also want to rethink adding the Sohal this soon, he will become very very territorial and I would suggest waiting until the end of adding your fish. Are you planning on adding a chiller or don't really need it up there?Good Luck!

What do you plan on keeping?

I have a Torch, Bubble and a ton of zoos and polyps; and thinking of adding a carpet anemone. But for the most part about 80% will be SPS. I have about 10 frags in there already, and they seem to be growing very quickly. They seem to be loving the homemade coral food fed at night.

Andy suggested that if I were to add a 12" extension like I did, I would also have to raise the beckett head. I assume the benefit of that is that it allows you to play with the water level in the skimmer giving you the prefered type of skimmate.
The PCX55 is awesome. I originally had the skimmer powered by the Mag24, but once the genx was going there was no stopping the skimmer's overwhelming performance increase. It took about 36 hrs. to get it to start foaming, but it hasn't stopped since. When I add the second beckett, I think I will add another PCX55, instead of a bigger pump for both. Not sure how that will work, but I have an unused BH in my sump that I can't see not being utilized.

"Yes to SPS" The Sohal has been in there for a month and he is a total freak. All over the place, but he has done well with the following additions of the clown goby and the anthias. Its a big tank and the fish seem to stick to their areas and allow occasional visiters.
I'm hoping not to have to add a chiller. We'll see in the summer.

No bubble wall, just my center overflow that is just starting to grow corraline on it. Looks like it though

The added benefit of the sohal in my tank is he frags my digi for me. All I have to do is reach in and take out the broken pieces. Beautiful, fast fish however. Wouldn't trade him for anything other than an Achilles.
