New setup

I set up a new 29 gal. tank about 4-5 weeks ago, I probably put fish in too quick, but was using live sand and live rock and was adding Stress Zyme to the water. All the fish died and my question was can you add too much of the Stress Zyme and what would that do to the water. Would it raise the ammonia level? because on the bottle it states that it lowers ammonia and nitrite and speeds the development of the biological filter.

WELCOME to swf.com! :)
Sorry your fish died :(
Have you tested your water? Can you post the readings?
I don't think stress-zyme would raise ammonia, but the dead fish certainly will. How much have you added?

I was adding every 2 days or so. And no I had not checked my reading because I was waiting for my test kit, which I have now and everything seems to be ok exept the ammonia levels are high.

My advice would be to continue testing daily and wait. Stop adding the stress-zyme. The ammonia should come down in a few days (7-10 max.) After that you may see a rise in nitrite. When your amm. and nitrite are both back down to zero, then your tank should be cycled and ready for a water change. Then maybe a clean-up crew and some new fish. It may take a few more weeks, but hang in there and don't try to rush things. Patience is golden!
