New SPS Frags

Today we had our spring Chesapeake Marine Aquarium Society's Spring seminar. A lot of members were trading and selling frags and I picked up a bunch of SPS. I recently converted my 55 to a SPS tank and until today it has been very bare. Here is a pic of all of my new frags and some individual shots. Let me know what you think!

You got some great looking frags. Now since I just got new lights and am going to start getting more SPS, tell me how did you attach them to the rock? With silicone or the coral glue? And did you put the glue on the end of the frag and then attach to rock or vice versa. I did one piece I had gotten and a string of the glue went floating off, I freaked, thought I was going to kill everything.

I use the QuickTite Superglue Gel by LOCTITE. I apply the glue gel to the end of the frag then apply the frag to the rock (giving it a little circular twist when I first apply it to the rock). I hold it in place for a minute or so until it begins to set. I have used other (gel) superglue and had the same problem you did (where it is more liquid than gel). The QuickTite glue is true gel and doesn't go floating off!

I buy it from the local Ace Hardware. If you go to yahoo and search by loctite you can see what it looks like - You are welcome!
