wow!!! we need a really good lfs down here,,,i went the other day to get some blue mushrooms and they didnt have any...he was trying to sell me some reddish orange color,,,pretty much begging me to buy them.....we have only two places here in the north west ,,just not much to select from...stuff looks really good and looks very healthy....thanks for sharing have a great night....

That clam is a Gigas Clam i had one they great looking but they are hard to keep alive.

I thought is was a squamosa clam!!!....Can somebody tell me for sure?
If it is gigas, what makes it hard to keep alive? I have 785 watts of mh on a 180 gal tank and just checked calcium, it is at 420>

You are so lucky, we only have 1 LFS in our area, not counting *****. And they hardly ever get neat stuff in. I have ended up buying from here and the other site.....wish we had a store here that carried that stuff.

I don't no but I have metal halides and actinics equaling 834 watts and I keep my calcium around 450 and feed frozen cyclopeeze and two of them died on me!

I thought I did something was off with my water so I took it in and had it tested but it was fine go figure! :notsure: So I waited about three month and tried another one and it died the same way so I gave up on them.

But I wish you the best of luck with yours some people have better luck with something.

rbbrockm1----I have only been to gerbers one time...they have great stuff, but I felt that they have a little to much attitude for my liking. The one sales guy there is quite the jackass., so I choose not to deal with them. There is a new place in springboro that I go to so much that they are putting a cot in the back room for me...LOL
