hi Darren,
I have a few questions please.
1. Where did you get those 2 black fittings that go into the holes on your 10g?
2. Did you have to glue your 1" connectors where the elbows are onto the black fittings?
3. I looked really carefully into the images and I still couldn't figure out how you get the water to spill from the 2nd baffle onto the compartment that has the skimmer without spilling into the output compartment at the same time. I looked on the 2nd images and I read it as if water will flow from 2nd baffle onto the entire portion on the right side of the 10g, then the 4th image shows water flows from the skimmer side to the left compartment...wow..I am so lost.
4. Did you actually glued the skimmer onto the 10g?
5. Where is your skimmer intake located at? and the output location?
6. What are those green stuff floating around the last compartment of the 30g? and is that where you have a pump to push the water back into the display tank? what else do you have in that compartment beside the pump?
7. Do you have any emergency shut off valves in case the power is out and stuff like that?
8. How long have you been running that whole system and how did it work out for you?
8. How large is your display tank?
9. Did you drill holes on the bottom of you display tank to bring it to the 10g sump or did you just have overflow, pipes and pump kinda idea?
It looks so organized and awesome. Luv it.
I am planning on doing a 160g display, but don't have a clue on how to build a good filtrating sys for it. So I am so nervous and I have to do a lot of research on this topic. Sorry for asking so many questions
And if you know of any good threads out there that show how to build a good sump+refugium like yours, could you link me to them?
Thank you so much for your help.
