Finally its done!!!! Designed this myself and had a local acrylic guy build it. 3/8 acrylic 24in wide by 72in long. fuge section is 24in by 36 in and the rest is sump. 18in tall.
Built my stand 32in by 78in to accomidate it and just got it plumbed and running today. Works like a charm!
Will post pics of the whole tank set-up process once its complete.

I am really new to this hobby and wondering what the difference between a sump and fuge are. Also wondering if i could get information on what they do and if they are necasarry or are just benificial.Thanx

A sump holds ur equipment(protien skimmer, heater) to give the display tank a more natural look. The fuge adds more biological filteration. It has LS,LR, Miracle Mud, and other critters.

As daredevil said, The sump is just a place to circulate water from your main display where you can access it for skimmers, heaters, sensors, etc and a place to add auto top-off equipment if you want.
The refugium is a protected environment attached to your main display that you can grow various types of micro fauna (pods and such) and macro flora (algae). More likely than not your tank inhabitants would eat them if the could get to them but in a refugium they are protected.
My fuge is actually going to act more like an algae scrubber in that its main purpose is nitrate export. I will have it full of macro algea which removes unwanted toxins from the water.
I have a smaller hang-on refugium that will be mounted on the hidden end of the tank in which I will have live rock specifically for pod production.
Neither of these is a necessity but they greatly expand your ability to add equipment and to use natural means to stabilize your water.

Sorry didn't get back sooner but been really busy. Thanks for all the great information.I think i may have to find a way to hook one up to my tank. Then i can get all the equipment out of my tank and won't have to try and hide it with all my live rock. Thanks again
