hey i saw that clam when i was in hawaii for my honeymoon back in march. the waikiki aquarium wasnt to bad. the coolest part is when your done looking around the aquarium you can walk right to the beach and go snorkeling in one of the many reefs around there. i stayed at the

hawaiian village and all you have to do is take the elevator down to the beach, walk into the water and see a ton of fish. i loved hawaii. i think i went snorkeling almost everday while i was there.

HI. I was wondering, when your amazing ricordea multiply, are the subsequent ricordea as colorful. how long is it taking for them to spread?

Thanks guys very much... for my wife's sake alone it's nice to have other people appreciate all of the time and money I put into my systems. So many people always ask... "how much work does it take?"... and my response is "If you think of it as work you are in the wrong hobby!" I'm sure one thing all of share is a love for keeping these beautiful animals in our ever changing canvases.
Brad (reefer44), it was great having you and your father by. I fragged the big stag (the one I grew from a frag in my previous nano) up into many pieces and some are doing okay so far... time will tell. This is just the third colony I've lost in this tank, with the other two being table colonies I lost last year, which as many of us know is common with tables. I'm sorry you lost your piece (don't worry guys I gave Brad all of the frags for free except for the blue tort, which was a steal at that!). Sometimes things just die and we'll never know why... Great to hear the polyps are extending. The Bennett tort came from my small colony in the frag tank which was under 250 watt 10ks and only 30 watts actinic (as opposed to 225 watts actinic in the main tank), so the color you're seeing is the way it appears under your lighting. "Coloring up" is a process that occurs over weeks and months, not days. As frags develop into colonies the color really comes out. I recommend you take pictures of all of the frags and track their growth, as that ends up being very rewarding...
xenoclown that is where my wife and I stayed this year when I travelled there for work... last year at the Waikiki Beach Marriott, which is at the other end of Waikiki by the aquarium. There are many nice hotels, and the

Hawaiian Village is one of the best. Where else can you see koi and penguins coexisting?:D
spsaddict you're welcome anytime!
NM reef thank you very much. On top of helping many people with all fo your posts, you've always done it respectfully and constructively. Do you ever think how many corals and fish you have saved with all of your posts?
NOC when ricordia split they are exactly the same color as the original. Some spread faster than others, but it's tough to quantify it. With patience and nice stock they grow nicely...
Full tank pics I'll update soon guys, and thanks again for all of the warm responses...
