New T5 Light

Well I just bought a cheap 4 bulb T5 light for my 10G......LOL
I was on E-Bay about to list something for sale.....and wanted to check how other things were listed...came across a 4 Bulb unit...with separate plugs for all features, and moonlights too YAYYYY....$59 NEW......RIght now I am using the fluorescent hood that comes with standard 10G tanks and the corals are doing great,......can't wait to see how they do with this light
Of course I will change the bulbs eventually..............It's an Odyssea, BUT lately I have heard OK thingsabout them....so we shall see

Ya oddysea ive got the same unit...im gonna sell it hopefully at the upcoming frag swap! Upgrade the bulbs and it will be great! I have the 24" one! Looks like they updated the legs a bit...mine are just straight out and have a kink in em...those look like they will fit the tank nicely! All in all i think its a decent fixture...

They look very nice Mewozer, maybe I should look for a set of them for my 29g QT and see how they will look on that lol...

YEAH...it's good enough for the 10G anyways.....LOL.....
My husband kept telling me he could build me an LED set for it...HAHA>......one project at a time in this house.....and how could you beat $59

Yeah that is a good Price and yes I agree one project at a time lol ha ha !!!!!

GOT THE LIGHT>......issue #1...LOL....the bracket does not fit in the cabinet BUT.....the light sits right on the tank frame PHEW

AFTER...it's hard to tell, BUT it is soooo much brighter YAYYY...and I finally have actinics with their own plug...and moonlights.....It is kinda white, so eventually I will upgrade the bulbs to a bit bluer look

LOL...I have been growing corals....a bubble coral included with the regular 10G hood with those 50/50 screw in bulbs.....so I am not in a rush
I just don't like the "whiteness" that's all.....

ya that was my prob with em but hey for how cheap it is...and the speedy delievery i got i wasnt about to complain! LOL
Crazy uve been growing coral under those lil 9w pcs lol
i use one for my fuge light!
When u do upgrade, u can make it as blue or as purple as u like!

OK...I LOVE the moonlights BUT there is something wrong with my camera...so I Can not get a good shot w/o the flash....so here is a blurry one....LOL
BUT YOU CAN SEE how nice the color is anyway,.....I don;t have time to troubleshoot the camera right now.....maybe tomorrow night

The bulbs cost me more than the fixture i thinks lol...
btw that moonlight plug eventually gets kinda broken in and ull have to wiggle it to get it to come on or full blast... :/
the 4 leds look kool though huh...i like the R2 solution one better but still cant complain for the $ ....
another draw back imo was the reflector...
again though u get wat u pay for!
Mine was wierd with the balasts...one would control the 1 and 2 slot and the other controlled the 3 and 4 slot...instead of 1 and 3 and 2 and 4 if that makes sense lol...
idk im rambling lol...tired i guess!
Not to shabby all in all huh...

YES....they do contril the bulbs 1 2 34 N ot worried about the plug...it's in a cabinet....so won;t move too much
I think this light will be fine for my little 10G LOL

I ordered my T5 light and I got it in and I swore when I ordered it that I saw it came with moonlights. I guess it doesn't. Oh well. What you got there is a nice fixture. Great buy.
I'm going to have to rig me up some moon lights for my tank. I'll just have to figure out how to put em' in my light fixture.
