hey, i haven't posted in a mth or so, but i have a cleaning question. i just got a 55g tank and it needs some work, as it is really dirty. i am not sure if i am going to use it for my saltwater or freshwater tank. it was stored outside and it needs to be clean. theres been rainwater in it. what is the best way to clean it. i know not to use chemicals, like windex or that type of stuff. isn't there some sort of mixture with bleach and water? any and all responses will be extremely helpful. thank you again.

Vinegar & water along with elbow grease works well. An old credit card makes a great scraper for getting any dirty film off the glass. Avoid scratch pads on the glass.

Clean the tank up with white vinegar and rinse it well, I think it will be just fine.
Yes only issue I can think of extra is , was the tank ever used for a FW setup where copper could have been used in treatments? If so there possibly could be issues with corals.......
