Ok, First off, are there any triggers that do not get huge?
2nd, how long will niger triggers get?
Do they go well with LR? LS? CC?
Do they have specific lighting needs?
Do they require certain foods?
WHat size tank do you recommend?
Any Major NO NOs with companions?
I will not be getting one for a while, I am just starting my research. I have gotten in over my head before so I want to take this one very slowly.

Nigers are great triggers. They are fairly passive(for triggers) and over time will not hide.
They eat meaty foods as do other triggers.I mix it up for my triggers.Squid ,shrimp, clams, frozen fish as well as the occasional live feeder for a treat. Also put a clip with some sushinori for one to pick at.It will help them with there color.
They can get close to 3 feet in length.Ususally around 16 to 20 in.
No they need no special lighting, though a actinic light brings out a very pretty aqua color in them.
Tank size depends on what else you want in the tank.I would not put one in a tank under 75 gallons. Even bigger if you want a community tank.
And don't mix with other triggers. Some might be ok in a big tank but stay away from undulated and blue lined triggers. There great fish but super aggresive.Especially towards other triggers.

Three feet in length??? I would be one scared diver if I saw a three foot trigger. Niger triggers are actually one of the smaller triggers. In aquariums, you'll seldom see one over 10 inches. In the ocean, I would venture to say you will never see one more than 15 at the most. As for being passive, its hit and miss. Some will be passive and some(particularly mine) will try to remove your finger if you put it in the tank.

it will probably get a foot long, keep in at least a 75,lots of lr and ls, feed meaty foods...i seen a queen trigger that was big enough to bite an arm off....looked like it weighed at least 50 pounds.....blue throats can also get large....

I've got a small 5" Queen in my 220 now, I moved every one else until decide what I wanna put in there with her. I love her to death, she's so playful, even though when shes playing in the lr it takes her about 5 minutes to realize it's feeding time.
