New Tank Pics

Hi Everyone,
I just switched out my 55s acrylic tank for a new All-Glass 55gal tank. The acrylic was getting too many scratches, and was hard to scrape algae off the sides.
From all the help on this site, I have been able to keep a healthy SW tank. Thanks for all the advice
:joy:
Here is a pic of the old acrylic tank:

Here is the new one. I made 2 corner overflows from Black Acrylic, and painted the back glass black. The overflows are mainly to hide most of the plumbing, and PHs.

Thanks for the compliments:)
I only started out with 3 mushrooms, then cut and split them, and placed them in different holes in the LR.
They just took off . Been very luck so far :)

how did you cut your mushrooms from the rock?? I would like to do that because they are crowded on the rock.

The anemone is a Purple Tip Sebae Anemone. I have had him for over a year now. When I purchased him, he was white, I did not think he would last too long, but after hand feeding it for a while, and placing him under the PCs, he started to turn its natural brown color. :D
I learned how to propagate mushrooms from doing a search on this site. Someone posted a thread with pics. All I did was take a pair for small sissors, or razor blade, cut the mushroom off the rock as close to the base as possible, and stuff it in a new hole in the rock. After about a week, it attched its self, and started to grow. I did a few like that, then started to dose with some coral vite, and reef vital DNA, and now they split on their own.

My tank is not drilled. The over flows are just to hide the PHs and and the intake, outflow tubes of my Eheim wet/dry 2227 filter, and my Rena Filstar XP1. If I ever decide to switch to a refuge, I will have to use the U tube oberflows. :)

I have 2 - 96w PCs, 36" long. One bulb is 10,000K , and the other is a 10,000K/ Blue 03 combo.
Seems too work well. I add a 3" fan on the side of my hood to help control the heat. the tank stays at a constant 79f - 81f.

What are you doing with your old acrylic tank? Maybe you would like to sell it? Your new tank looks really good, I like the anemone.

I would love to see my old acrylic tank. It does have some minor scratches on the front, but when full of water, they are very hard to see.
I am from TN, might be expensive to ship.
