Tank is looking good. I like you choice of cabietry. I work at a custom kitchen cabinet shop, that looks like a kitchen base cabinet. I use one similar (exept smaller in height & width) for a 29g in my sons bedroom. I choose to use one of those because i can occasionally pick one up for under $15 in an empolyee extra cabinet sale at work. I also like the use of the drawers.

How do you find your firefish gobies behavior? I have read conflicting information on how they behave, some sources say that they can only live as individuals or as a mated pair, some say that having a small group will be fine.
Also, do you find them out in the open a lot or do they tend to hide as soon as someone walks by the tank? There are three firefish at a local store but need to check some of this info out first before I decide to purchase them. I'm looking to add to my tank but I want hardy fish that will stay out in the open.
Thanks
Deanna

wjwaz59,
What are the dimensions of your tank? It's 75 right?
What kind of filtration do you have?
Also, what is that green plant growing from the sand?
What kind of lighting is that?
Is that the 48" Power Compact w/Moon Lite?
Can you send me some more pics of your stand? do you have any previous tank setup pics and how many lbs of sand did you use?
You can email me the answers if you want. Mhull87@cox.net

First off, thanks for the comments and compliments..
I just got back online so I'll anwer a few questions.
The base is indeed a sink base cabinet. I bought two at Lowes as a matching set on either side of a fireplace. (I don't use the fireplace so heat from there is not an issue). For the tank, I built a free standing reinforced frame inside the sink base, so really the base is just for furniture quality 'show'.
Tank: 75 gallon tank (48" wide).
Filtration: Ecosystem refugium, model 3012
Pump capacity: 760 gph
Light : Custom Sealife PC's w/ moonlights. I have the three light sets (blue, daylight and moonlight) on timers to simulate the day.
Refugium is full of calupera, and the plant life in the front left of the tank is 'harvested' calupera I put in the tank for added plant life (filtration) and color. Plus after I cycled the tank I was a chicken regarding fish, so my LFS gave me some mollies she had acclimated to saltwater. "I" had babies, and now about 10 of them use the calupera to hide.
Regarding the firefish, my LFS said "one or more than two". They are out all the time. I had one that was a little shy at first, but not any more. They hover all day long and are awesome. But, the second 'dusk' turns to 'dark' they head for their hole in a piece of live rock.
I do have a 'reef' package doing their magic now, and all the 'stuff' going on in the tank is great. I was lucky to get hitch hikers including some featherdusters, bristleworms, spaghetti worms and I think mysid shrimp, and they are all doing super.
This set up is really straightforward, and with the liverock and refugium, I am trying to get a natural balance to minimize human intervention. My plan is to have a relatively low bioload in order to keep my natural filtration from getting overtaxed.
So far, so good. Any other questions, I'd be happy to respond.

I started to do research on a pump, but when my LFS came up with prices that actually beat the internet, I just let her sell me the pump they had in the store. I'm not even sure what the brand is... probably a mistake, but she said they had very good luck with them (she hasn't steered me wrong yet). It was rated at 760gph with a 3 ft. head. It's submerged in the last compartment of my ecosystem.

Good start!!! Depending on your funds, I would put some more live rock in it and load it up with corals!!!
