Here is a few more pics of the tank. Can't wait to do a full water test! Will be ordering the Pump and the Skimmer little over a week. wattsupdoc cut the holes with a dremmel and a glass cuting bit. The return is 3/4". If any one has any suggestions please let us know I am new to this and any help is more then welcome. I have learned alot from wattsupdoc but you never can learn enough.

Well, clown101 is getting a free 55 gal, for me a fuge. Soooo...... If I had listened to Tim in the past, I would have drilled my 125!
Now I'm thin king about a quick tear down of it and drilling it.
Shoulda listened.

Monday after 5 would be fine for me. I'll pm ya with my phone #

High speed I used a diamond grinding bit to do his, LOTS of water!

Cool Tim! Send this dumb 'ol hillbilly some pics!

to clown101 and doc. how did you cut the holes. i will be doin this in my 20L frag tank. i know doc said water. did you just let the hose run on the hole as it was getting cut. how wet did the dremel get. also did you push hard on it while cutting

Clown101 stood there with a hose and let the water run freely over the part of the glass where I was cutting. I took a cone shaped grinding bit and slowly and gently ground a small pilot hole through the glass. Then, I changed bits to a cylinder shaped bit and started grinding around the mark for the hole that I made previosly with a sharpee. Going slowly, applying very little pressure and keeping it wet.
You can mark the hole you want to cut out by placing your blkhead where you want it and eithe marking arount he inside of the bulkhead or outside. Tryind to get as close to whichever side your marking. Then cut appropriatly around your line to allow for the thickness of the bulkhead requiered to pass through the glass, relative to what side you marked it on. Make sense? I'm tired.
I wanna see those pics too Tim! Plus the answer!

sorry guys painting didn't go well today. So is all wrapped up. Hope for tomorrow.....
I use hole saws to cut the holes. Like I said 1/2" with a dremel will be tough. Google diamond hole saws. The site I'm not allowed to say......

OK guys here ya go. The tank is still laying on its back so I hope you can see whats going on. Basically I drilled 2@1" holes and surrounded the holes with a 30" x 2.5" x 6" weir dam over flow.
The other holes are for 2 returns in the corners and a CL 1.5" intake and 2@1" output.

alright guys how do you drill. i think im over thinking the process of drilling. should the tank be positioned any way, or just face down and drill the back. help from this doc has been helpin though.
and to tim, is that a custom made overflow box, if so why no teeth, hold on let me stare at it some more.yeah i got it now. WOW thats sick, thank you cause that makes me get a fresh jolt to keep researching this hobby to learn more. thats insane i am really at a lose of words. to you and doc im an ameature but, damn im learning. thanx guys helpin out more than you think

haha and no im not drunk being all truthful and stuff!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, The OF box is a custom. I cut all the glass. Teeth would be damn hard to cut into 1/4" glass LOL! I don't cut teeth in even an acrylic OF. The "Weir damn" is to skim the surface more efficiently than teeth. I use eggcrate fit inside the box to stop snails and fish.
Painting the back now, I'll have some more pics in a day or two......
