When Setting Up A Tank For The First Time,,is It Better To Add The Saltwater In An Empty Tank And Then Add The Live Sand And Live Rock. If So, How Long Do You Have To Wait To Add Live Sand And Rock ? Also When Should I Start The Filter?

What we did to start was put the saltwater in the tank, let it age and dissolve with just the heater and powerheads on for a day or 2. Then make sure all the filters are working, then you can add live rock and live sand. You don't want to run filters until the salt has had a liitle time to dissolve and wait for the tank to heat up and check your S.G. before adding the LR or LS
There are many different opinions when it come to the order and how long to wait.
The saying you will here often is nothing good happens fast.
