New tank suggestions and comments please

I will be adding another tank to my collection this weekend. The setup will be 55 gallon, 4-6 in DSB, 50-80 lbs. LR, emporer 400 filter, 2 175 watt MH, heater, powerheads. I plan on also adding a couple of power compacts 2X55 watt. I don't know anything about skimmers, but would like opinions. Plan on a reef setup with the following fish: 2 percula clowns, 1 royal gramma, scooter blenny, and not sure what if anything else. Comments and suggestions would be appreciated. TIA

This is going to be mostly coral/reef tank. The lighting will be a DIY canopy with 2X175 MH and 2X55 PC. I already have the MH, but not sure yet about PC's. I'm also looking at VHO.

Sounds very well thought out. I just bought a Seaclone 100 skimmer. It seems to be working well. I guess I would recommend one, but I have no experience with other skimmers. Good luck!

Stacy,
Your new tank sounds nice! :)
I have a RedSea Prism skimmer on my 45 gallon and have been very happy with it. It was around $100. It's easy to setup, quiet and removes lots of nasty stuff!!
Good luck with the new addition.

Does anyone have any opinions on the lighting? Should I add VHO's or PC's to go with the MH?

I perfer the VHO with the MH, my opinion. I don't have any experiences with PC's, but a lot of people have success with them also. Migh want to compare pricing and entergy use and determine the way from there. HTH
