New tank - what to get! (post your setups)

Been a while since I've posted. Hello to anybody that remembers me :)
Well, I'm finally getting around to getting a new tank. I'm looking to get between a 75-125 tank and really want to focus on the fish (with lr and ls of course)
I'm a very DIY kind of guy and don't want to break the bank but I work now (graduated college...last I posted I was a poor college student) about 90+ hours a week and need something that is easier to maintain. The 30g I have now is tough to keep straight.
I don't even know where to begin. Where to get a tank. How to pick out what items will work together, etc.
I have kept fresh water fish for over 10 years and salt water fish for the past three years now with great success AND i've worked with crappy setups and bad equipment. Now I want to go nice. I would like a ro/di unit...etc.
Also, if you have pages dedicated to your sweet setups, post the link so I can check it out....
Thanks!
(look forward to posting here again!)

Robby,
I would suggest looking for a used setup. You get a great deal, and you also get all the equipment you'll need in one fell swoop. I'm in the Chicago area as well, and just upgraded to a 150gal from a 29gal. I found plenty of used setups in the area that interested me, and ultimately decided on the one I've got now (obviously). But check the classifieds in the papers. The Trib never usually has much, but I've seen some nice setups in the Sun Times and also in the Daily Herald. You also might want to check with some LFS in the area, as they may have or have connections to a nice used setup.

Hi RobbyTT,
I too am in the Chicago area. I would recommend for a tank (used), try the http://chicagoreader.com/class/pets.html
I don't know if you want glass or acrylic. There is a huge price in difference & you know you can get a decent sized glass (150 gal) at any ***** or petsmart...I'd try the latter. If you want acrylic try this Northside store http://www.aqworld.com/ or this Westside store http://oceandesignaquarium.com/. I will say that Aquatic World (Northside) is kinda expensive. I have found by ordering online you can get some great merchindise. I too got a RO/DI. They have one here on this site (Kent Hi-S Maxxima RO-DI) & I can say from first hand use, this is a great item to have to maintain perfect water. I didn't get mine here, but it is the same price I did pay for from another online store. Try these; http://www.**************.com/

I know that the RO unit cost about $300 at the Northside LFS, so save the money & use it for shipping & get more dry goods is what I say. Listed below is my set up. Hope it helps. Jessica
