So i recently purchased a 72 bow front tank from a local who upgraded to a 150. Now he got most of the old coralline off but there are still spots, shpould i try to wash/scrape it off? If so what should I use I know not to use most cleaning chemicals.
Also He included a Sump and Skimmer, but on the sump has a spot for bio-balls, and i was wondering can i take them out and replace them with LR?
Thanks

i would leave it wont bother anything. if you really want to get it off just use a razor. imo to much of a hasselle.
i am not sure bout the sump but it sounds fine to me. i would try it.

I have scrubbed out an old tank using vinegar. It took some elbow grease but worked out well. Good Luck!!

If the coraline is not on the viewing part of the tank I would leave it there as it will begin growing again anyway.
Yes, I myself would take out the bio balls and put LR in your sump. That is what I did with mine. Less maintenance and also gives more of a place for pods to grow where they arent getting eaten by the fish.
Congratz on the new tank. It's always fun starting a new one. I just picked up a 55G the other day for dirt cheap that had 50lbs of rock in it. So I will be getting that going.
