just bought a 77 g tank,and they gave me a magnum 350 canister filter made by marineland,i would like to know if it's good or not?

Thats rated at about 70 gallons. If it was givin to you, then go with it, but definetly get maybe another one. Its ALWAYS better to over filter your tank than under filter your tank.
