New tank...

Hi All,
A friend of ours is giving us a 30 gallon saltwater set up this weekend. We've never done saltwater fish, can anyone suggest good fish to start with? I'm assuming once we get the tank set up it will take a while before we can add fish?

There is a boatload of information on here in regard to setting up your tank. Read as much as you can before you start. Definitely wait on the fish. Go to the New Hobbyists section and read the top posts for starters.

Thanks - I'm reading around here now. :) We've got alot to learn - we've always had freshwater fish.

You'll find different suggestions on good beginner fish to get, I personally like clowns, there non aggressive(usually) and are hardy so the can handle some beginner mistakes. However, you have alot of research into filtration, flow, lr/Ls etc. though it sounds like your friend may have you covered, still good to know whats out there. Oh and by the way, Welcome to SaltWaterFish.com
