My Lowe's has no clue what a light diffuser is. You have to use the proper term: louver.

It depends where you live. I can almost never find egg crate at Lowes, Sears Hardware or Home Depot. I got lucky this past week and found two sheets with chipped edges at Home Depot. I didn't need full sheets, but wasn't about to let customer service know that. They gave me each sheet for $5 instead of $11.99.
